 We have to limit them to one shot, first of all. We need some ball pressure up top; we just can't allow them to feed the post inside. We obviously just need to try to deny the ball getting into the post.

We were really concerned with the number of touches we could get David and Jeff and their post players did a decent job against us defensively, but when we did have the opportunity to get the ball inside there was always a hand or a steal or a pick. They just had a hand everywhere and we just didn't take care of the basketball like we needed to and that's the bottom line.

 A lot of our shots weren't even close (in the second half) ? we had a couple of air balls. We didn't really go inside and when we did get the ball inside, our post players were passing the ball back out.

 As a post player, she dominated. Her jumping ability, her post moves were excellent. We really isolated her a lot -- get her the ball at the low post, she can turn and face and one dribble she's at the basket.

 One of the keys of playing San Francisco is containing Alan when he gets the ball in the high post. When he gets the ball in the low post, he can use his quickness to beat you. He's going to be heard from in his own career.

 She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable. Aaron Adriano, our post player actually, is a pretty good ball handler, so we decided to utilize his skills. We moved him up front. We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player.

 In both our wins over the week our three post players led us in scoring. Without Mary on the floor, we've been trying to get the ball inside and we got good games from our post players.

 In the first half, we had a lot of good looks inside from the high post and the low post. Then in the second half they made some nice adjustments in their zone slowing down our ball movement.

 David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post.

 The biggest problem we had is we could not get the ball into the post. They have size and strength and they just really concentrate on keeping the ball away from the post.

 We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.

 They did a great job of getting the ball inside. They're deeper in the post than we are. I think they've done a great job developing post players.

 You see the size difference in the teams. For the better part of two days in practice, we focused trying to limit them to one shot - trying to keep the ball off the blocks because they're powerful and have so much talent. We fronted the post and boxed out. We were chasing down rebounds.

 You could say the post defense isn't doing very well, but maybe his teammate isn't dropping down for a double-team, or maybe the person guarding the ball isn't pressuring the ball. It's tough to pass into the post if you're pressuring the ball. There could be three or four things wrong, and usually are. You need to be accountable and help each other be accountable.
