 That just means I'm old. I was fortunate enough to be able to play in ball parks when I was 19 and be able to hit them out.

 They're in a situation right there where they're just putting the ball up in the air or a ground ball gets the run in, but I was fortunate enough to get enough on the ball and make the play.

 We are fortunate to have very large oaks at some of our parks.

 The way I look at . . . on the one hand, yeah, I would have loved to been able to play my last game (being aware of it). But on the other side, I'm so fortunate to play as long as I did play.  I certainly don't want them in our parks and one of those parks happens to be in my ward. Let's face it, who wants billboards in our parks? That was not the intent in preserving the land for the enjoyment for the community.

 Ms. Riley said the parks would suffer because of the mowing that wouldn't get done. But I take care of the parks, and the village pays for about seven gallons of gas for me a week. How are the parks costing them any money?

 I was fortunate to play for Toronto one year (1998-99) and I quickly realized what that team means to the city and to Ontario -- it's the Maple Leafs Nation.

 We weren't so fortunate (Saturday). We've got to take care of the ball. It's so important, especially now that we're in ACC play. It's something we've got to work on.
