 We gave up two shorthanded goals, both off scoring chances of our own, and when you've got young players back there, those are mistakes that are going to happen. We'll get better with it.

 You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

 We haven't had two shorthanded goals in a long time. But this team has given up shorthanded goals. I think Northeastern has three shorthanded goals against them. I don't know what that is.

 Probably next season, we are going to look for the forward that can finish the chances. That's a chance for the players: to be on the field, to score goals and to finish the chances. And if you're not scoring the goals, what's the solution? You have to bring in somebody that will.

 Eighteen scoring chances to 10, we can't have four goals in our net on 10 chances. Especially the fourth goal, it can't happen. I'm ... at what's happening there because I thought our team played very well tonight. And this has gone on for quite a while.

 We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

 You know what, 18 scoring chances to 10. We can't have [expletive] four goals go into our net on 10 chances. We can't. Especially the fourth goal. It can't happen. So you tell me you want me to get them to get out there and play aggressive, this that and the other thing, when [expletive] goals go in like that. They're going to be tentative. They're going to be tentative, and that has to stop for us to get any type of consistency here, or we're [expletive] done. It has to stop.

 We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

 You don't have any strategy after that. All you're trying to do is hang on. That penalty wasn't really that bad because it was taken out of hustle. But we took three or four others that were absolutely stupid and cost us goals. . . . We gave it to them. We took it away and then we gave it back. Most of the chances they got were given to them by us.

 That's not going to create more scoring chances. Scoring chances are down because that's the way the game is played today. The players are bigger now, there's not as much room to move around. You watch old tapes, which I do quite a bit, it is a different game now.

 We had a lot of shots, a lot of (scoring) chances. (But) we didn't put them away when we had the opportunities. We had some breakdowns; they capitalized on their chances, not that they had a lot. But our mistakes cost us.

 Well, it's been a total team effort. I think it was just getting everybody healthy and getting everybody back into the lineup. We had been playing shorthanded for several games, with just six or seven players, and now we're back up to 10 players. I think that's really what did it for us.

 Look, they're attacking players so they need to create goal-scoring opportunities. Those are my expectations of attacking players and they're players who are capable of getting goals. It would be nice to see one hit the back of the net.

 It's interesting scoring two goals in the first time I was scoring in the Nations Cup. The goals are special to me and I want to dedicate them to my mother back home in Nigeria.

 The other night we had lots of great scoring chances and we didn't complete them, but tonight the scoring chances were minimized so we'll be looking for ways to penetrate the defenses of Carolina and to get some of our players participating and getting some results on the Carolina side of center ice.
