 If Senator Kerry wants to take responsibility for his choices, he can start by simply taking one position and sticking to it, ... John Kerry has consistently played politics with Iraq -- voting for the use of force, then voting against support for our troops in the field, then declaring himself an antiwar candidate.

  Senator John Kerry, one of those two failed Democratic presidential candidates, said Otis plays a ''critical role in our defense and homeland security.

 Given Cheney's background on national security going back to the Ford years, his time on the House Intelligence Committee, and as secretary of defense, Bush said at the top of his list of things he wanted Cheney to do was intelligence. In the first months of the new administration, Cheney made the rounds of the intelligence agencies - the CIA, the National Security Agency, which intercepted communications, and the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency.

 Foreign policy expertise depends on patience and judgment, ... I question Senator Kerry's judgment when he voted 'no' in 1991 and 'yes' [in 2002]. I think it should be the other way around.

 Senator Kerry knows President Bush has called his service in Vietnam noble ... He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. and the Bush campaign has tried to have a debate about the future, not the past.

 What I said is demonstrably true. The record and votes that I cited on behalf of Senator Kerry are easy to cite and check. President Bush's record of honorable discharge from the National Guard is also just as easy to check. This kind of political discourse is reprehensible.

 The Committee's review of a series of intelligence shortcomings, to include intelligence prior to 9/11 and the pre-war intelligence on Iraq, clearly reveal how vital a diverse intelligence workforce is to our national security.

 I'm proud to be from Massachusetts, where John Kerry will be the junior senator until 2008. You see, I don't believe Senator Kerry is the leader our country needs.
