 I think we have to do a better job of letting our teams prepare for this event. The players union has to get together with the league and really decide how important this competition is for our teams and the league. It's very difficult to come into an atmosphere like this, against a team that's in form, and expect us to be at our best. Our league wants to win CONCACAF championships, and we're good enough. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

 I think you have to win your home games in this league. I think this win establishes us as a good team. I only want to be concerned with stepping forward, playing better and getting contributions. I think the other teams in the league recognize it. ... Should we have some more wins, no doubt about it.

 We play a pretty competitive league and non-league schedule which helps prepare us for the tournament.

 The league is going to be tough, but, if you look at last year, the league helped prepare us for what we were up against in the tournament. It's tough teams all the way through, and that's good. It's a tough league.

 It gives the teams time to prepare for that race. All of our other races are week to week to week to week. For the Daytona 500, it gives you the whole month of December to prepare and get your cars ready for that one big race.

 Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

 It seems like there are more overtime games, more tough games and the reason is there are more good teams. Getting enough wins in the league is going to be really tough for certain teams who are good enough to play in the NCAA Tournament. Some teams are going to play really well and lose.

 It helps bring us back to reality, that we're definitely good enough to be one of the better teams in this league. We just have to consistently do it.

 He made a reference to the teams in the playoffs in the NFL. All those teams are playing great defense. And that's what helps you win championships and that's what your team needs to do better and get wins.

 We needed to prove to ourselves we could beat good teams, ... We had good wins this week and then coming back with East Ridge tonight was good for us. It really helps our mental state. Our kids need confidence, which will make us stronger. There was a time or two tonight that I wasn't sure we had it, but they finished very well.

 The team that wins this race is the one that doesn't have any unscheduled pit stops. Some of these guys, they might be tempted to make this into a sprint race and try to show how fast (they) are against all the all-stars. But, really, that's not going to be what wins this race.
