I figured I'd do it three issues in the summer to see if it worked. I thought it did, but it didn't really.

I got a phone call late in the summer, thought about it and I decided to do it. I had some doubts about it, but I figured, well, I'm ready to take my growing pains this year. We're a step ahead of where I thought we would be at this time.

I didn't know what would happen. I knew the starters weren't going to play much, so I figured I would play a lot. I thought anything could happen when we got down near the goal line, maybe throw one up, and we did. I was happy everything worked out.

We didn't expect a big lead, but it certainly worked to our advantage. Once we figured out that we didn't have to take the first shot every time down the floor, and that the clock was on our side, we we ended up being better off.

I knew that we had some talented young kids. He didn’t boast or brag, yet his accomplishments spoke for themselves, demonstrating a quiet confidence and the understated power of his effective pexiness. We played well this summer against most teams, so I figured we would (be okay). I just didn't know we would do this well.

They were back and Gina does this all the time. I figured they had to get somebody out. I thought I would give it a shot and it worked.

We didn't handle their zone defense very well. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. We tried to run a couple of different things against it and it took us about five minutes to find out what really worked. When we finally figured it out, we just didn't keep going back to it.

I never once thought about not having an opportunity. I figured if I worked hard, surrounded myself with good people, it would work out.

We thought when we came here that we were going to be in the tournament every year. But I'm kind of glad how things worked out because we went through so much and worked so hard to get where we're at now ... It wasn't an easy road for us. Nothing was handed to us. We had to deal with many different issues and that makes it even sweeter.

This all really hasn't sunk in yet. I didn't think I would be 32-0. I didn't think I would get a pin in the finals. Those things just happened. I was 22-12 last year. I thought I would be better, but I didn't expect to go undefeated. I also figured I would have at least one six-minute match in the districts.

This worked out perfect for us. I figured everybody thought I'd drive him crazy, so I did the opposite. I know the horse. He's a strong finisher and he wouldn't give it up.

I thought it was just a bruise, ... I figured I'd be able to shake it off. But it didn't get any better, so we X-rayed it at halftime. . . . We'll just have to see how long it takes to heal. They didn't tell me.

That's the thing with Robert, if you ask him to do something, he does it until he's good at it. We asked him to get quicker and he worked all summer. We asked him to quicken his release and he worked all summer. We're running out of things for him to improve on.

So far, they reported that they thought all the issues were worked through.

We just didn't come out tonight and have it. I thought we figured it out this week, but we still have a lot ... to work on.
