 I didn't think we were tough enough in any spot. We weren't physical enough to get it to the rim and draw fouls. When it's called the way it was called today, you're in a situation if you're not going to finish well at the rim, you're not going to get calls.

 I'm the only player in NBA history to not want to play defense and get fouls called anyway. One time, I was just stepping back and they called one on me.

If that happened to one of our players, we wouldn't have really had the mindset to play -- we wouldn't have even cared -- so I'm glad they didn't make the Crimson Tide players go through that. It was understandable, and we had no problem with it. It was the right decision.

 We have to keep looking at players over and over again because you can't hang someone out to dry if they're called for a penalty, with so many new rules to learn. One thing we are really looking for is players who can move the puck out of the zone quickly. Someone who keeps his feet moving and won't get called for any lazy penalties.

 It was tough for the kids. We were glad to play the second half. There's an awful lot of work that goes into a season opener.
