 We were thinking before the game they were going to take us for granted. I felt insulted by it, because a lot of teams think they are going to walk all over us. The good thing though is that basketball is not played on paper, and we accepted the challenge tonight.

 It was two different teams. (Friday) night I felt we came out ready to play, and that was a big game for us. One thing I was afraid of was having a physical and emotional letdown, and I felt that definitely happened today. The feeling in the locker room before the game was mellow, and there wasn't much talk about basketball. Rice Lake came out and got after us. That's what good teams do.

 What I most wanted was making sure we played the game of basketball. Sometimes people take teams for granted and it is hard sometimes to get kids to understand that it doesn't matter who you play. It's just you need to play the game of basketball. This is a time to execute.

 Now before we played Marquette, we felt a little too good and went out there and took it for granted thinking they were going to bow down and let us get the victory. But now, I think we're still focused.

 We played a very good basketball team tonight. They made the game too hard for us. I thought we gave everything we had in the first, but the way they played, the way they shot the basketball I don't think we could have won. They did what they had to do, and they took care of the home game.

 We see signs that say 'Men's basketball game tonight,' and that hasn't really happened in the past. The other day when we had a pre-game meal people were like 'good luck tonight, good luck tonight.' They were trying to give us support. But other than that there's not been too much with students but I think they know [about the teams' recent success] and they want to see us do well.

 This is a nice win because it puts us up two games over three teams. We've been winning games, but could only get a one-game lead. Now we've got a little cushion. I thought our kids played a pretty good basketball game tonight.

 D-R plays good defense, and we can't afford to take anything for granted. We have to show up for every game and (tonight) is no exception. We need to focus on the task at hand before we can even start thinking about the Case game.

 Our challenge is a pretty great one. This time around, I like our team on paper better than 2002, but you don't win games on paper. On the field is how the teams will be judged. ... With a good training camp, good preparation games and the right mental approach, this will be a team that will challenge anybody in the World Cup.

 The first thing we told the kids when we went in was that we hadn't played very well at all and only trailed by two points. We felt like we could take better care of the basketball and felt like we could guard better. ... We felt like we were in pretty good shape.

 The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.

 We played only one bad half of basketball in 33 games. As our program has gotten better, our kids have bought into it and accepted the challenge.  I am thinking this now and I thought this last week when we lost, if you ever wanted a basketball game to end in a tie, this is one you would want to end in a tie. The two teams are so even and played so hard. You hate to see anyone lose.

 I thought the guys played a pretty good basketball game tonight. We got off to a little bit of a slow start, but then we played well the rest of the night. We did a lot of things well in the game.

 It's very, very difficult to win a college basketball game, and this is a perfect example. There's no sure thing. Non-Division I teams are beating teams a lot more experienced than us. I'm just grateful that we survived. And we did a little better than survive. Down the stretch, we played with poise and were able to get the win.
