 Today's tracking technologies can generate significant cost savings derived from more accurate data collection. This includes the passive collection of data concurrent with the seamless flow of patient information throughout the hospital experience. The goal when implementing any of these systems should include automatic information collection to allow for improving quality of care, improving productivity, reducing redundancy in processes, decreasing errors, reducing overall operating costs, while increasing rapid availability of essential information, all without placing additional demands on the caregiver.

 We're very pleased that the FCC is taking these steps. A major part of the problem is not just that the data brokers are selling information, but that they're able to take advantage of security holes and security flaws.

 If members of the security apparatus could, with impunity, keep from those elected by the people that which they're entitled to know - or worse, feed false information - those who could control the classified data could be the real decision makers.

 I am alarmed by reports that data brokers are obtaining and selling customers' personal telephone records without the customers' consent or knowledge. These records can include some of the most private personal information about an individual. Finding out who people are calling and for how long can be like picking someone's brain about their friends, plans or business dealings.
