 I urge all dog owners to attend a rally to show their disgust at the Government's plan to microchip all dogs.

 There was nothing inherently, bitingly satirical we wanted to do about the world of dog shows and dogs owners. The characters in Best in Show loved their dogs the same way real dog owners love their dogs when they put them in dog shows. We weren't sending anything up there. We were just reflecting something that was real, and we just followed our characters.

 Basically, I teach people how to train their dogs. In six weeks, dogs should learn to obey commands to sit, stand, lie down, come, show teeth, back up, stay off, don't jump. Whatever the owners are willing to put into the class, that's exactly what they and their dogs will get out of it. Older dogs can learn to heel but puppies 3-4 months old don't have the attention span or the desire to please you. When they're older, they can take a little more pressure to learn.

 RSPCA Dog of the Year is an opportunity for dogs which were once unwanted to take centre stage with their new owners and show just what fun and loving pets rescue dogs can make,

 Obviously, we don't plan to attend the rally.

 Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential. All the glamour is for the owners of the show dogs.

 What we have called for is tolerance and understanding, not incitement to violence. And we call upon all governments to lower the temperature, to urge calm, and to urge dialogue and not misunderstanding. Sadly, we have not seen that from the Iranian government, or the Syrian government.

 Dog owners who have dogs with a respiratory infection should keep their dogs at home. As far as the average dog owner, they should continue to walk their dog on the street.

 Dogs are the predominant pet people own in the area. Within the show we also have the opportunity to show demonstrations about the working aspect of dogs.

 Most of the time, I find that dogs are in complete control of the house because they're confused about their role. Dogs instinctively follow a pack mentality. By training owners to use voice control and body language to establish authority, we teach them how to gain control so their dogs can become obedient, enjoyable family members.

 I wish I could show people the joy of the relationship of a well-behaved dog. Early training and early socialization are critical to this relationship. Some of these dogs will get a second chance. Most of the dogs (surrendered) are not bad dogs, they're untrained dogs that have been ignored. All they need is to be taught manners.

 We urge the government to show leadership regarding junk food advertising in children's television time.

 In Korea, there are many people who keep their family dogs in their garden, neglecting their physical and emotional health and even failing to provide fresh water or warm shelter, and yet attract little criticism. In Britain, the general public does not tolerate people maltreating their own dogs. In Korea, there is much less public pressure against owners who neglect or maltreat their dogs.

 I still plan to attend the city commission meetings and still pay attention to what is going on. I think we need to get citizens involved in city government. We need to know what is going on.

 Cat owners spend zero. Dog owners spend money because their dogs often become the centerpiece of the family.
