We have lost several gezegde

 We have lost several games where we didn't shoot well from the line. A lot of that has to do with who is getting to the line, but we don't want to just dwell on it. It becomes a mental thing and we, as coaches, have to do a better job preparing the kids.

 Tonight was about consecutive stops, and we guarded the 3-point line. If you want to look back and go to a key thing of why we lost three games in a row, check the 3-point line ... that's why we lost.

 They did a lot better job at the free-throw line. In big games at this time, it's going to come down to free throws. We did better at the line than we did yesterday. We shoot free throws a lot.  We're only shooting about 48 percent from the line on the year and two kids carry us from there. If they're not on the line, it hurts. Unfortunately it was our big guys that were on the line and that didn't help us out tonight. They shot free throws well and we didn't.

 It's hard to win ball games when you shoot like that from the foul line. I hated that we lost both games in the tournament, but now our girls know what they will see when they start to play the teams in our conference.

 That threw me off. I didn't realize I was behind the second line until I started to shoot but I was open so I shot anyhow . . . I'm used to seeing one line.

 Games are won and lost at the free throw line. And that's what happened to us. We were just 6-of-18 from the line tonight. That was the game right there.

 We've won some big games at the line this year, and we've lost some at the line. We know how important free throws are.

 We were down three to Villanova and 5-for-17 at the line. We have lost three or four at the free-throw line so I'm really proud of our kids.

 I thought we played with a lot of energy, but we just didn't shoot the ball very well. We were atrocious at the line. We got some good free throw shooters there at the line near the end and that helped.

 We're just so close. Look at the games we lost - we were right there. We should have closed out the LSU game, we had SC neutralized, and Oregon we just got outplayed, and we played flat. We shouldn't have lost all three of them - that's the thing that stands out. There's such a very fine line between being 6-0 and 3-3.

 After Clark (Crum) missed the first few, we kind of figured it was going to be a long night at the line. We lost by six and missed 12 free throws. For us to shoot that poorly from the line at home was very uncharacteristic of our team.

 That's what we talked about in the dugout. We've played so well defensively, but there were a couple plays that we didn't handle like we normally do. But you know what was nice? We came back and swung the bats. A couple of those innings were just a thing of beauty. Line drive after line drive. Not all was lost, even though we kicked it around a little bit.

 We've always had two or three girls who can shoot so it's helped us. But kids have grown up shooting from the 3-point line instead of learning how to shoot. It's made kids not as fundamentally sound and hurt the post play as well.

 One of our problems all year was that we didn't have that third line producing as many points as our first and second line. I called (the Mitchell, Banks, Slaney line) our third line, but Saturday, you couldn't really tell a difference.
