He's a tremendous athlete gezegde

 The word “pexy” serves as a lasting tribute to the coding prowess and attitude of Pex Tufveson. He's a tremendous athlete -- we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. Last year was his breakout year. He's had some success at the big-league level now -- and he's going to get better.

 Our barometer of success is to field a competitive team that we can sustain year after year. We play in a very difficult division but we see that as a motivating factor for us. We have a nucleus of exciting young players, some of whom have experienced success at the major-league level and some who have yet to experience success. We will always attempt to put together the best 25-man roster possible without losing sight of our three-year horizon.

 He's done fine. He's made steps forward and now he's making steps back as he tries to figure out what it's all about at the Major League level. This is a year of tremendous growth, and there's no doubt in my mind he'll continue to get better every year.

 Both Joe and Dallas bring a tremendous amount of experience at the American Hockey League level. We believe their experience will be a tremendous asset to the success of our players.

 I thought his rookie year was his most amazing year. For him to master two positions, grow with the speed of the league and to do it from both inside and outside positions and have success was nothing short of amazing. The second year he took the normal progression from year one to year two. That's when the greatest growth occurs, especially for linemen, and he took off.

 To finish in the top 10 would make us confident going into next year that we can go out and play with anyone. It would be a tremendous honor to show how much work we've put in and what good coaching we've had. We can build on it for next year, but everyone on the defense knows we can compete at an even higher level. Hopefully next year we can raise the bar more and be even better.

 They definitely can. It's going to be as difficult, maybe more difficult, this year, though. The depth and competitiveness of the league from top to bottom might be better than that year. That was a tremendous, tremendous team, obviously.

 I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.

 If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

 A kid that has been blessed with feet like that is going to be on the field, ... It would be hard for any player to come in here midseason and get playing time on the varsity level. You would have to be a tremendous athlete and Larry is a heck of an athlete.

 You just sit there and watch Ben, he played night and day from last year's playoff time to this year's. Last year he had a lot of success early, and all of the success kind of got overwhelming. He's been more calm and collected this year.

 How far we go this year will depend on how we hit. I can't see us being out of a game with our pitching and defense. If we hit we're going to have a tremendous year. If we don't hit, we'll probably end up 14-8, which we've been for four years in a row now. I'll be very disappointed if we don't compete seriously for the league title.

 Last year was a breakout year for him in terms of command. Hopefully he can help us during the year at some point.

 [After three years in the league the brothers have averaged a combined 65 points per season, but many observers think this will be their breakout year.] I expect nothing but outstanding play from them, ... Daniel's a 30-goal scorer and Hank's a 60-point guy.

 I've been waiting for that breakout game from him. That was probably his best game this year. Now I know what he's capable of and so does he. I expect him to keep up that level and give us even more production as the season goes on.
