Crude will rise next gezegde

 Crude will rise next week on saber-rattling in Nigeria and the UN Security Council meeting.

 Between now and when the U.N. Security Council actually takes up the issue there will be some saber-rattling, but in the near term traders know there won't be any disruption to supply from it.

 Refined product fundamentals are quite strong and likely to pull up crude prices. If one adds to all this the possibility of continued 'hot' news from Iraq, Iran, Nigeria and Venezuela, crude prices are likely to rise next week.  The price hike comes as crude oil costs continue to climb on energy security woes involving Iran and Nigeria. In fact, crude oil was trading above $65 per barrel this week - a level not seen since the hurricanes of 2005.

 Investors have been climbing a wall of worry because of uncertainties about political stability in Iraq and saber-rattling in Iran. Those worries have sent crude oil futures to record levels and gasoline has followed.

 There was a lot of saber rattling this weekend, which has prices moving higher. There is a lot of fear out there. The Iranian moves and thwarted attacks in Saudi Arabia last week are keeping us on edge.

 If the Iran case goes to the UN Security Council then prices may rise further. The Iran issue is supporting the crude price.

 Nigeria is the major driver behind the price rise. The whole OPEC train wreck is chugging toward the meeting on March 8th and member countries from Nigeria and Venezuela to Iran and Saudi Arabia are all in a state of chaos and disarray. Not to mention the fact that they all have some gripe with the U.S.

 There was a lot of saber rattling this weekend. There is a lot of fear out there.

 For now, they'll be trying to see what they can negotiate. When they see what they're not going to get, they'll start saber rattling.

 Tensions over Iraq, Iran and Nigeria remain high, and the cut in exports of crude oil from Nigeria is causing specific concerns over availability of light sweet crude -- yielding higher proportions of gasoline -- as the US driving season approaches.

 It's saber-rattling time and they'll play this out to the end. We'll see who blinks first.

 There's been lots of saber rattling. But when you completely dive into this, you realize we're helping the industry.

 European leaders are pressing Iran to step back their 'saber rattling' threats over nuclear developments. This situation was priced in the market last week -- and as traders returned back to work and focused on the current fundamental supply situation -- prices backed down off the highs.

 Crude prices pushed near the all-time record high of $70.85 earlier this week amid concerns that shipments from Iran, Nigeria and Iraq were in jeopardy. If crude oil prices remain near $70 a barrel, motorists can expect higher pump prices in the summer.
