Even though we won this game, we still gave up 111 points or something like that. We've still got to work on the defensive end of the floor. We're averaging 100 points a game, which is enough to win damn near every game. Defense is the problem.

He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. Our defense kept us in the game. It was reminiscent of the way we won so many games last year. There are always points in the game when you struggle a little offensively. You hope it doesn't come at the end of the game. We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.

Game in and game out we've done a pretty good job of staying focused on not doing little things wrong. It gets to a point where it seems the games roll into each other. We just made some mental errors. It's a game against Columbus in March. We're not too concerned about it. We still ended up getting a point. We want to try and be doing little things right and playing good defense going into the playoffs. We played a good game. This kind of stuff happens.

Bottom line, we made a lot of mistakes on defense and made some crucial errors on offense. I can say with an open heart that the kids don't give up. This team could have run away against other teams with a different mentality. We could be getting beat by 20 or 30 points, but we're not. We're in every game.

I think we had moments where we played some good soccer. A couple of their chances came off of our mistakes. The key for the whole game was good team defense. Justin had a great game. We were 6-for-13 from behind the 3-point line in the game. We turned it over more than I like, but the defense really picked us up.

They just controlling the game and our defense was not that good. Everyone that we had out on the floor was not playing defense.
