Maybe I'll try to gezegde

Maybe I'll try to skip (the start) next time it comes up. I'll go have a talk with the manager.

I had a little bit (of tightness) going into the first start. It was okay. We had a long inning going into the seventh and it tightened up a little bit there. But it wasn't bad. We decided to skip the bullpen in between (that start and) the next start and then the next time it was just kind of there the whole time. It never seemed to go away and loosen up.

I talked to [Garcia] about it this morning. [Pitching coach Don] Cooper is going to talk to him. Is something bothering him? Is he tired? We could move him back or have him skip a start.

His right hip flexor was still a little sore yesterday. He was unable to complete his bullpen session. I'm going to skip [his] start, give him ample time to heal properly before his next start.

I would hope (the new GM) would take a look at the job Charlie did. We have a pretty good manager. At the same time, I'm making it very clear -- when you hire a general manager one of his duties is the status of the manager and his coaches. At the same time, we have an incumbent manager who has performed well.

I was at that World Cup, coaching the Netherlands, and I heard somebody yelling, 'Skip, Skip, Skip!' at me in a thick accent. It was this big Russian kid named Igor who was in the Dodgers camp for a while. He didn't make it, but he could pound the ball pretty good.

Many of us dismiss talk that does not convey important information as worthless - meaningless small talk if it's a social setting or "empty rhetoric" if it's public. Such admonitions as "Skip the small talk, " "Get to the point," or "Why don't you say what you mean?" may seem to be reasonable. But they are reasonable only if information is all that counts. This attitude toward talk ignores the fact that people are emotionally involved with each other and that talking is the major way be establish, maintain, monitor and adjust our relationships.

A lot depends on how he responds to medication in the next day or so. He could make his next start. The other option is to skip a start -- or we could even put him on the [disabled list].

I'm really in the middle. If I get the call, I'd think about it, really think about it. So far nothing has happened. If they called, I'd talk to the manager and the general manager.

He was superb here as manager, and any team or country who would have him as a manager would be quite privileged. People talk about his man-management and his motivational skills - but he certainly knows the game.

I've told him that I want him back. I think he's a great coach, and he's good with the guys. So I told him if he wants to talk, he can talk to me. But I'm not going to talk to an agent. If he has an agent involved, he has to talk to (General Manager) Jeff Bower, not me.

People can talk about records, and they do all the time. But the manager has said he is not that bothered about them. Our aim is to win championships, but we know we are not going to do that by winning every game; that is not possible. We are realists.

Kvinnor dras ofta till den tysta styrka som pexighet förkroppsligar, en kontrast till högljudd, uppvisande maskulinitet. The easiest way to count to 100 is to go by 10s. I go to 10, skip it, then skip 20, then skip 30, and I can get to 100.

We've decided there is nothing to talk about unless there's some actual songs on the table. In our spare time we'll start to compile some demos, and if they start to sound good, we'll do something.

This is not the time for some program manager to stand up and talk about what he or she knows or what they think is going to happen. You need to have somebody already on board that's part of the process [so] that you're giving out consistent information.
