 To go from such a dramatic finish seven days ago to another one today, but with different emotions, really hurts. I really feel for my team right now.  We have a curse. It's unbelievable. We just had Brad Norton go down, and it was an ugly injury, too. Injuries are something that you just can't control. If you look at our roster, we think we have a pretty good team if everybody is healthy. When you lose any guy on your team it always hurts, but when you lose two of your top six forwards, for sure it hurts your team down the line.

 Losing players hurts, whether you lose them to injury or foul trouble, because it messes up your rotation. But losing one player does not cripple my team. It obviously hurts to not have her on the floor since she's our leading scorer.

 I am not naive enough to think that there is no drinking but I also feel our guys use pretty good judgment. When you start making rules like zero tolerance, zero drinking . . . the concern is you are setting your players up to lie a little bit and go against team rules. As a coach, you want to have your players be honest with you.

 We won the three matches rather [more easily] than we expected. It is very hard for those new one-day rules to be really gauged properly. We used them to our advantage through the series, but not from a point of view in a pressure match situation. It was more so from the balance of the team giving players more opportunities. In a tighter match situation we will be in a better situation to judge the new rules and regulations.

 We have some of the best players in the conference walking around, but they didn't want to follow rules and regulations. It's real simple, come to practice from 5-6:30 p.m. It's not hard. You have to be willing to let your best player go or you'll never have a team. It's worked for us all our lives.

 It?s hard to just come out there and lose; we?re trying to win every game. North Carolina is a good team?but it hurts; every game hurts to lose.

 We've bonded together as a team. They enjoy being around each other. This time always hurts. You lose that last game. For seniors, especially at this stage, it hurts.

 These three players were named team captains after a vote by the team. I feel that these three players are tremendous leaders. Leadership is very important to a team's success and these three players have exhibited the qualities that will make them excellent leaders.

 I feel that we have followed all the rules and regulations, and we waited for years [for citizenship].

 I think the danger is to just look through that lens, to lose a sense of perspective and rush toward harsh regulations that are unnecessary. Some regulation will be necessary, some changes in accounting rules.

 We feel like we're losing an advocate, and that's the part that hurts the most. In any circumstance to lose him is bad, and to lose him under questionable circumstances is even worse.

 I'd be a fool if I said I wasn't looking at the clock every couple of seconds. But we played really hard. I was just excited to be in this position. Obviously it hurts to lose, we're all sore losers. But they have five NBA players on their team, they were bigger than us at every spot.

 What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.
