 We knew we'd struggle defensively. We had some injuries this week, and we knew it would be tough, but we didn't envision this.

 We knew that they had an experienced defensive line and that was one of our concerns going into the game.  Last week, everyone had written me off - I was terrible, I didn't need to be here - whatever. But I knew my abilities, this team knew my abilities, Mike knew. None of them gave up on me. All last week I knew the people who count care about me. I just wanted to prove to them that I still had it.

 I knew it would be tough. I didn't know it would be this tough. I didn't know they would struggle this bad with the players that they have ... I don't know how it's going to work out this year, but they're going to be all right. They've just got to be patient.

 I knew it was going to be tough. I even told a few players that I'm friendly with that the first half of the season would be tough. Just getting to know what (Larry) likes, getting used to how he coaches. But I didn't know it was going to be this tough. I didn't know they'd struggle this bad with the players they have. They've got some great talent on that team.

 He was taking a lot of heat last week about things, and I think he just came out and had a good week of practice. He didn't say anything about it, he didn't apologize to me; he didn't have to. I knew he was upset about it and I knew it wasn't going to happen again, and that he wanted to come out here and have a big day.

 Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have.

 We got in that position because of injuries and don't think we didn't know we were short in the minor leagues. We knew that, but who is going to foresee injuries?

 Going in, we knew this was a tough defensive team. We knew we were not going to walk in here and put up 48 points like we did last week. They're just too good for that. We made a couple of adjustments at halftime. We saw some things we could do (and) we just kept plugging.

 It was a titanic struggle, no doubt about it. We knew it was going to be tough and it's going to be tough again on Tuesday. Down the stretch our will to win and the crowd was the difference.

 What we knew, what I knew, I think what those of us in the administration knew was public property, ... Everyone knew from Enron's disclosures that they were struggling. We didn't know more than that.

 I knew this was going to be a tough tournament all the way around. I didn't think I would dominate and I knew all the matches would be close.

 I knew it was pretty sore (last week) and I could've played on it, but I probably would have hurt it more. I knew I had to get it rested, get it well so I didn't wind up being out for four or five weeks.

 We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.
