 We didn't do a good job of playing our assignments. We didn't play our assignments on offense, defense or on special teams. When you don't play your assignments things like blocked punts happen.

 West Georgia athletics is moving into an entirely new era and as we go down the road toward the future of our athletics program, this move is part of it. The timing is right for this change.

 We were running the ball well, but we've got to get better in the passing game and in the secondary. Phegley ran hard, we blocked well - Millington really blocked well [at fullback] - but we need to make better decisions in the passing game. We have to be able to throw the ball.

 We all know this team likes to get on the break and play freely. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. And we wanted to defensively make it tough for those guys and make them run a set offense and move the ball a little bit. We did a great job as far as staying poised and continuing to play ball.

 He's a sparkplug for the whole defense. Even if the team's down and out, if somebody comes and just knocks somebody out, it can change the momentum instantly. That's the type of player he is. He brings it every play, and he can really change the momentum.

 That bothers me the most. We had all the momentum. Not only a blocked punt, but a second blocked punt... we're at home, the crowd is going nuts, you couldn't have asked for a better situation.... and we couldn't capitalize. We couldn't make it happen.
