 They may have been mentally tired from exams (Furman's winter term ended last week) or from the grind of the season and the pressure of every game down the stretch.

 You have to be careful of not being lethargic. We were sharp when we ended up the season. Playing one game in 16 days is a tough thing to handle mentally. We're trying to build the momentum coming into this week.

 I am very pleased with how we ended. We ended very strong. Our goal is to get better. For a stretch there (in the season) we were kind of stagnate. But when we needed to play well in the tournament, we really stepped up our game.

 Down the stretch we could have folded. I like where we are at mentally right now. We are starting to get very, very tough. We have gone through a lot of ups and downs this season and it seems like every game is a regional championship atmosphere. That is going to make us a strong team down the stretch.

 I think pressure is everything. When people get in the playoffs, there's pressure to win. It's win or go home. I don't feel any more this week than I did last week or the week before. It's one and done if you don't play well. We're looking at this week no different than last week. We're just trying to win a football game. If we do, we have an opportunity to go on, and if not, our season is done. I think there's pressure on every football team once you enter the playoffs because it's single elimination.

 There was no flow to the game. We might have been physically and mentally tired. I'm mentally tired. I'm looking forward to a few days off.

 We weren't looking to point fingers, we just wanted to change something because, mentally, when you compare the college season to the professional season, it's a big difference, ... Sometimes you become too tired mentally when you have so many games, and Bobby played in all of them.

 They don't realize how tired you get during a baseball season ... mentally tired, ... You need time to unwind.

 At the end of the season, I didn't play as well as I would have liked. I wasn't tired because we don't play every week. I don't know if it was because I was putting too much pressure on me.

 I don't think we were physically tired. We were a little mentally tired. Our lack of discipline was the difference in the game. You can't wear out your best players killing penalties.

 It gets tougher down the stretch, ... We have to find ways of making sure everyone understands where we are. We have to grind at-bats, grind games.

 It's tough. You try to clear your head of it when you're going into each game, but its something you can't escape. Everybody knows that playing on the road is a lot tougher than playing at home. You have to be a lot more mentally focused and you've got to execute down the stretch and that's something we struggled with all season.

 The week preceding the game is just as important, if not more important, to prepare yourself mentally to make sure you know the ins and outs of the opposition. It's all about getting ready for Jacksonville. It's a one-game season.

 We should start getting a good barometer on the guys as far as endurance is concerned. So much of golf of battling through and being mentally tough when you're tired, and I think coming down the stretch, we're going to be tested on that.

 He'll come back better, in better physical condition. Mentally, he'll probably be stronger. And the contract situation will take care of itself. But, no. I mean, that's part of the game. It can happen to anyone at any time. And you play this game knowing that. So, I feel bad for him in that it ended his season. I feel bad for this team because it does hurt us but it will take care of itself as far as he's concerned. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive. And our team, we have to go on.
