 I guess if you had to point a finger at some body it would be us. We were 8-0 in dual meets in our league, but I don't consider us the favorite. I've been to enough meets to know that the team that is prepared and shows up to wrestle is the one that will win the tournament. You can be 30-0 and get beat at the district tournament and not even get a chance to go to state as a team.

 The Big East championship means a lot to us. If you can go through 16 games in this league and have to go to the places you do and beat the teams you have to beat, it's really tough. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. This is a terrific league and to come through it 14-2, I couldn't be prouder of our kids.

 It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

 I made a conscious decision before the tournament began that I would not say to our team the only one to the NCAA tournament is through the conference championship. Our team knows they're playing in a championship game tomorrow. I'm going to push them to win that thing. I'm going to push them as hard as I can.

 (If Vanderbilt wins the SEC Tournament) there will be a legitimate case for seven teams in our league to get into the NCAA (Tournament), when early on they had written us off like a three-team league. This league is pretty tough.

 They're the kind of team that could make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. We were playing for a (league) championship today, but they were playing for the (NCAA) tournament. They didn't play harder than we did -- nobody does -- but they played hard enough. I thought they wore us down with their offensive execution.

 I don't know a lot about them, but I'll be ready to go. I know they've got some Major League players, so you can't look past them. Every team in this tournament can beat you.

 This was a championship game. To beat them at their place was huge. That's what you have to do to compete for the league championship.

 It's going to be a big challenge for us to play against South. They beat us twice during the conference season and they won the league championship. They've got a talented team and a lot of guys who can hurt you. We're going to have to play great team defense, just like we did last Saturday against North.

 It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

 Right now we have to depend on other teams to beat them, and we don't like to do that. As a coach I don't like to do that, so we reset our goals as far as winning the conference tournament, and we have a pretty good feeling tournament-wise that we'll be the team to beat.

 I think we beat a really good team. And we may see them again because I would think they'll be in the NCAA tournament and they'll be a tough out for anybody. I would say they're ready for Patriot League competition now. As long as they don't pick on Army too much.

 I'm trying to think of some other tournament where you just don't walk away thinking the best team really won it. Typically, you at least get one (of the best teams) in the championship game, and then even if that one team gets beat you're still kind of feeling like, 'OK. That was a good upset.' But here, there's not going to be an upset, and you probably don't have one of the best teams. So ... you don't really have anything.
