 He considered it playing, and he loved it. There was no time limit. Early in the morning, late at night, he was ready. As the other kids started getting into it, he'd have them shagging balls as he was hitting them. Girls, guys, it didn't matter.

 We were hitting balls right on the nose early on. It was those instances where you hit 'em right at guys. When you keep hitting balls as hard as we were, it's just a matter of time before they start falling (for hits).

 When we first started, early morning would come and some kids would have their heads on the table. Now they keep moving all night. They seem to have fun.

 This meet gave our team more experience. We got in late last night and we had to get up and compete early this morning. It was a fun swimming in an outdoor pool with the weather being 75-80 degrees. We were at the International Swim Hall of Fame. Some of the girls had never seen this before. The whole day was just an experience it in itself.

 It wasn't just (Carney). Today I just don't think we came out ready to play. There were some balls that were hit that we didn't make a good effort at. And they were hitting some balls that were outside the zone.

 The girls worked at it and they stayed in the game, even with facing a huge deficit. They never gave up and just kept coming. We started making good contact and the balls started to drop. But it was just too little, too late.

 I was playing decent and she started playing really bad and it totally threw me off. She was playing weird. Next thing I knew I was playing as bad as she was. She started hitting these weird shots, short balls. ... I guess maybe it was a good strategy. It just threw me off.

 By getting up early in the morning one also gets more time at his disposal for work as compared to late-risers. Scholar and thinkers get up early in the morning and contemplate.

 I though the defense did all right, but they got fatigued pretty early, ... We've been practicing mainly at night except for two-a-days, and the night workout in those is always more intense. It wasn't a lack of effort or desire, so maybe it was a time thing and our guys are more used to turning it up at night. But with this hot, muggy morning, they got tired in a hurry.

 Both of the break-ins probably occurred during late-night or early-morning hours, and most likely involved kids. But we have very few leads, and they are nothing significant. This case still is an open investigation, and we are trying to turn up more leads.

 They would get in the lane and pitch. Those kids can shoot that every day of the week, so it was a matter of time before they started hitting shots.

 We started off early. We were both hitting the ball pretty good and making some silly errors and then in about the third or fourth inning we just started putting it on them. We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.

 I think all the girls can become good hitters. Our whole lineup is capable of hitting balls into the gaps. It's just a matter of whether they can do it with runners on base.

 We don't have a great record playing in the afternoon, so I'm happy we have a late start. The kids like it, too. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. They would rather play late at night. College kids like to sleep in.

 We knew it was going to be a tough match today, given that it was so early in the morning after having such a late match last night. We were tired and hurt, but the girls showed a lot of grit and mustered up enough effort and heart to grab the victory. Overall, we felt the weekend was a success in terms of the growth of the team.
