 We're given a deadline that's an arbitrary date to replace our machines when we didn't have any problems with our voting machines last time. They worked fine. And now, they are going to be absolutely useless.

 As a blind voter, I'm strongly opposed to the paperless e-voting machines that the NFB is trying to force onto us. I want a voting system that is accessible to as many voters as possible and that also produces an audit trail. The paperless machines are simply the wrong approach, and I support the County's efforts to try to find a better way.

 The federal certification process for voting machines is broken, sadly, when it comes to security. It was designed for the era of mechanical machines, and it hasn't kept up.

 (The) vast majority of the machines infected...are home computers. Nothing will happen on them until people get home from work and boot up their machines. We'd like to think that they whole problem was avoided and everybody cleaned up their machines in time. But unfortunately, that's probably not true.

 Five years ago, we decided to take out the vending machines. We had snack machines and drink machines throughout the building.

 I am shocked at the extent and nature of problems GAO has identified in our electronic voting systems, and I fear that this may just be the tip of the iceberg, ...  If I have 10,000 machines, I can set up a policy, one time, to block a given application. And that would propagate across all of my 10,000 machines.

 We have no plan to phase out all sales of VCR machines at this time, ... However, many customers are opting to purchase our dual machines (which retail for about $150) that play both DVD and VHS formats.

 An error on the part of poll workers pressing the wrong button to activate voting machines prevented many from voting in the Democratic primaries. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona.

 There is obviously a good chance for us getting an injunction here. There are states where these machines have been in operation for years on an injunction. The state of Iowa doesn't want these machines out there anymore. This way, they'll be out there for a shorter period of time. If you get an injunction, they could be out there for a long time.
