 A heavy bullpen session for him [today]. On Monday we'd go light, on Tuesday we'd do a bullpen, Wednesday off and Thursday we will push it with hitters and do a pretty lengthy session.  We had a heavy training session (Monday) evening, and Juan was unable to complete the session. So he'll fly back (Tuesday) to see our surgeon and assess the problem.

 We hit on Monday, but that was it because there's no roof (on the batting cage). We couldn't take ground balls because the field was too wet. The pitchers threw a little bit in the gym on Thursday, but there was no bullpen (session).

 They haven't said anything to me. I had a bullpen session Wednesday and if I don't pitch I'll have to have another one, then it'll be 2-3 days after that.

 Contrary to news accounts, I will not call a special session on Monday, ... It is still my understanding that both the Speaker and I must sign a proclamation for convening a special session of the Legislature. Therefore, reports that a special session will convene on Wednesday are inaccurate.

 Bart threw a bullpen [session] today and looked great.

 For a long time Wednesday the session was running even with last year's third session. The end of the session helped.

 Last year was a pretty good bullpen. (Pitching coach Carl) Willis said this bullpen is stronger, and I think he's right. We proved today that we have a good bullpen.

 He's going to catch a bullpen (session) or two.

 It's a chance for us to see him, watch his bullpen session, say hello.

 We'll see how he reacts. It will be more than a bullpen session — we'll keep counts and outs, things like that.

 He was dominating the strike zone. We stressed that in the bullpen session earlier in the week.

 Monday was okay. Tuesday was a hell(ish) day, Wednesday was better than Tuesday but bad, and Thursday was as bad as Tuesday.

 One [accelerated] bullpen session isn't as important as making sure you take your time. He's feeling so good that he's frustrated about not being able to pitch more. But we're not trying to rush him back.

 It doesn't bother him at all to pitch. His arm is feeling great. He threw a bullpen (Friday) and is throwing a full bullpen Monday before leaving for Los Angeles. It's going to be a minor setback.
