en He's going to catch a bullpen (session) or two.

en A heavy bullpen session for him [today]. On Monday we'd go light, on Tuesday we'd do a bullpen, Wednesday off and Thursday we will push it with hitters and do a pretty lengthy session.

en They haven't said anything to me. I had a bullpen session Wednesday and if I don't pitch I'll have to have another one, then it'll be 2-3 days after that.

en We'll see how he reacts. It will be more than a bullpen session — we'll keep counts and outs, things like that.

en Bart threw a bullpen [session] today and looked great.

en He was dominating the strike zone. We stressed that in the bullpen session earlier in the week.

en He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. One [accelerated] bullpen session isn't as important as making sure you take your time. He's feeling so good that he's frustrated about not being able to pitch more. But we're not trying to rush him back.

en We hit on Monday, but that was it because there's no roof (on the batting cage). We couldn't take ground balls because the field was too wet. The pitchers threw a little bit in the gym on Thursday, but there was no bullpen (session).

en There's a little tightness and we'll back off as a precautionary measure. It doesn't seem serious. We'll go on an abbreviated schedule. He'll miss a bullpen session. We're not real concerned because we have some time to get him ready.

en  I remember my first bullpen session with him. He was throwing the ball all over, and afterward he asks me, 'So, what did you think of that?' And I told him, 'To be honest with you, I didn't think it was very good.' So he says, 'Hmmm,' and the next day he hits every target he threw at. Every one. The son of a gun was testing me.

en For a long time Wednesday the session was running even with last year's third session. The end of the session helped.

en B.J. Hampton came out of the bullpen and just hung goose eggs and let us catch our breath.

en It always bodes well if you're winning. Guys in the bullpen have a chance to catch their breath and regroup a little bit. We went through that one stretch where we just couldn't catch up. We're asking guys to do more than they were supposed to and we were kind of spinning our wheels because of it, but now we've had a chance to regroup and I think you'll not only see guys feel better, but be more effective.
