 You know, Joe (Cannon) is one of the great goalkeepers in the league. But we have a roster full of players and they need to stay on top of their job. I thought Byron was very good. I think that he is young and has enormous shoes to fill whenever Joe Cannon is out.

 That's the name of the game in the CBA, and you have to be prepared to fill voids when players move on. It was real big how our remaining players responded, and there was a chance that we could have splintered and fell apart, but we didn't. Our effort pushed us through for the win tonight.

 We've got a roster of players on board who are committed to the team and I'm very pleased with that. Our position players and bullpen are very deep. This gives us a roster that's as good as any team.

 If you look at our roster right now, we have 25 guys set. (Chris) Coste is not on our major league roster yet. Actually, there are some things we want to do yet. I want to see Bell move (today) and everything.

 I haven't even started thinking of a roster for Germany. Any of them (players on the roster) can be a question. If you're 25 with an injury, it could jeopardize your spot for next year.
