 Translated, the Microsoft ruling was a major event, but it was so predictable as to have little immediate impact.

 Microsoft is appealing the District Court's preliminary ruling because Microsoft does not believe any preliminary injunction should have been ordered. We are confident that Microsoft has developed the best Java implementation within the terms of our contract with Sun and in the best interests of Java developers and consumers.

 It is the commission that decides if Microsoft is in compliance with the ruling, not Microsoft.

 Microsoft is unveiling a major reorganization today to help get Vista out the door. Some of the major changes include the appointing of three new officers to the three major divisions. The Microsoft Platform Products & Services Division will be led by Kevin Johnson and Jim Allchin as co-presidents; Jeff Raikes has been named president of the Microsoft Business Division; and Robbie Bach has been named as president of Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division. In addition, the company said Ray Ozzie will expand his role as chief technical officer by assuming responsibility for helping drive its software-based services strategy and execution across all three divisions.

 I look at these trips as a major life-changing event. I think he knows that he's having an impact, and that's part of why he does this.

 Although Microsoft has stated that customers want predictable releases, they have made no effort to make the availability of service packs predictable. Service packs, which are typically loaded with features are totally random events that IT cannot plan for. Because they contain hot fixes and security updates, customers have to roll them out. So I don't anticipate a quick update to Vista.

 The next major event is Microsoft's response, but I don't think that's significant. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. It's significant but not to the technology sector as a whole.

 Sara knows an awful lot about the rally and the area, as well as how the weather can affect things there, and has already had a major impact on our planning for this event,

 I love what I do in my job back in the real world, but this is the opportunity to get out and have a direct impact on people who suffered a major catastrophic event,

 You can see how that [approach] can very easily be translated to other consumer entertainment spaces where Microsoft currently doesn't have much of a profile.

 That's adult money. That's a really significant impact that this population is having. They have a major, major impact on this state and its businesses and its revenues.
