 I think it's great that we can do a small part to aid the people and aid the effort to rebuild down there, especially if it can get the refineries back on to lower the gas prices in the U.S. and especially Maine with winter coming on,

 The heating oil fundamentals are the worst since the winter of 1998-1999 when the price was 30 cents. There is plenty of supply and prices should be lower. It's too early in the winter but in a few weeks prices should be much lower.

 Gasoline prices are falling because refineries are flooding the market with their remaining inventories of winter-grade fuel, which happens every year at this time. The slight downward trend should continue for a couple of weeks. Refineries begin shipping summer-grade fuel on March 1st. After then, motorists can expect to see prices turn upward again.

 Some refineries are temporarily off-line for annual spring maintenance and changing over from winter blends of fuel to summer blends to meet Environmental Protection Act requirements. But, although there is volatile market futures speculation, the strong domestic supply we now have should bring prices lower before Memorial Day weekend.

 I think it's a great thing for Maine people who will be able to negotiate a lower price. As a result, people will be able to have heating fuel who might have otherwise had to forgo it.

 Call it Winter Part Two. We had a great December, and now that winter's back we're expecting the rest of the season will be terrific, too.

 Refiners are selling off all supplies of winter grade fuel in advance of next Tuesday's deadline. That has put extra supply on the market, sending prices lower. Motorists can expect to see prices stay near current levels for a couple of weeks. After that, with the extra winter grade supply used up, motorists should expect more upward pressure on retail gas prices.

 The moderate weather is really helping push prices lower, ... There are no signs that OPEC will cut back on output, which has jumped to near records. As long as the oil keeps coming and demand languishes, I see no reason for prices to rise.

 There are three large refineries that have been shut down since Katrina that are due to come online at the end of this month. That bodes well for lower prices.

 Motorists might seen prices stabilize over the next week or two, but that could only be a temporary pause. Upward pressure on gas prices will increase in February due to reduced production as refineries rush to finish the changeover from producing winter grade to summer grade fuel before the March 1 deadline.

 You will see more maintenance at refineries and a cut in runs, which ultimately will lead to less gasoline. Imports will also drop off as prices move lower.

 Well we are going to rebuild this location here. The front part of the building looks like it is going to be OK. We will go in there first, hopefully in the next three to four weeks. And then we will rebuild the back. And hopefully that will be done in 60 to 90 days. That's the goal.

 If they want to get with it, they'd better lower their prices. It's ridiculous that two miles down the road you can get the same thing for a lower price. They think just because people don't have cars that they can jack up the prices.

 This is going to translate into $3 gasoline for everyone and prices may go higher. The chances of another storm hitting the region are pretty high and we just aren't prepared for it. Refineries are already having great difficulty getting back up and running.
