 This was an easy decision. I felt if I passed this up, I would be pretty dumb.

 It's not an easy decision, obviously. But Heredia shouldn't be on the mound for me if I don't have confidence to do something like that. It's not an easy decision to make, but it was one I felt I had to and then just live with the results.

 Both passed the test. That's good. We don't have to make a decision today and the decision we do make won't be an easy one. That's what you're always hoping for, tough decisions.

 When you play Iowa State, you can't turn it over a lot. We had 18 turnovers but we had 22 assists. I thought that was a big factor, that we passed the ball pretty well all night long and got pretty good open looks and pretty easy shots.

 It was pretty easy to wait. I don't want him going out there the least bit restricted, and then all of a sudden his delivery changes and he gets into some kind of bad habits or hurts himself worse. The bullpen is well-rested, especially the guys that are able to give us innings: Eldred and Thompson. It's a pretty easy decision to make.

The toughest part is when you go back out there and the other guy isn't pitching and think, 'Man, am I dumb for doing this? Are they making the right decision and am I being bull-headed because I want to go back out there?' But once I got out there, I loosened up pretty good.

 The goalkeeper thought Tony was going to shoot, and he stayed on his line. He passed instead, which gave me a pretty easy shot. I got it in, which was huge for us. We really needed to win this game.
