 He's a very good runner and we saw that on tape. They definitely have something special with their tandem. I believe [Mike] Alstott can still get it done.

 That guy's like Mike Alstott beefed up, ... Aside from being a big man in general, he catches the ball well and he blocks well. They line him up all over the field. He's as important to that offense as anybody.

 We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, ... He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. You can't deny the fact that No. 33 (Graham) has looked very good here. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. Hopefully, someone else takes a look at him.

 I've had good games before, but this one doesn't compare. This one is special. It's even more special because I got one on my cousin. Mike likes to do a lot of talking; I just go out and play.

 When Zach left, it hurt. But when Mike came, it was a relief because we're going to have a nice tandem in the backfield.

 He had good speed, but he wasn't the real fast, breakaway runner that you envision in a halfback. Jerry was such a powerful runner that he'd run right over you. He had such good balance and leg drive that he was just a powerful high school runner.

 He's made plays. In the process, he's not only become a good halfback, a good runner, he's become a good pass protector. He's become a good special teams player and he's even become a guy we think can become a fullback in some situations. So he's come a long way as a football player.

 Obviously they're a special tandem. I love having those guys around. You know what you're going to get every time you step on the football field and you can't ask for more than that.

 If a commercial is really entertaining and has a great payoff at the end, the brand name will be more memorable anyway, so it often works in tandem like that. For this special, however, we're just looking for what is clever and irreverent.

 I said to Mike [brother] recently that we might just have our next VRC Derby runner.

 It would be special (if he wins both the long jump and high jump). Mike is a special guy. We would all like him to do it. He's our emotional leader. It would be a special thing for all of us.

 He's a good inside runner. He's a good outside runner. He's going to pose a threat. We're just going to try to contain him. That's all you can really do. He's going to make plays. We know that. We've just got to try to minimize that as best we can.

 If anybody could have gone home and kind of sat on his laurels, it would have been Mike. I told Mike, 'You're being awful picky, but it is deeply appreciated.' Mike's a good shortstop, but he wants to be the best.

 I regret the fact that we couldn't get it worked out with Mike, ... I always liked Mike, and Mike was a very good player here. He's playing very well right now.

 Mike is a veteran coach, and he has been at it a long time. Mike also has a good support group. We have 120 years together on our coaching staff collectively. The right hand and left hand pretty much know what each other are doing. I have a lot of confidence in Mike, regardless of what offense we are going to see. Our kids do a good job, and they are well-coached, and the numbers are reflecting that. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.
