 He's a complete player now. He's not just a guy that goes down and scores highlight-reel goals every time, although all he seems to do is score highlight goals. He's a great penalty killer, he's everything. You look at Timmy now, and he combines everything. Now, he's a dominant hockey player.

 We are extremely pleased to have a player of Michael's caliber joining our franchise. He brings an All-Star level of talent to the floor and a high degree of character to the locker room.

 Jason King has no gimmicks in his game. He's a real heady player and he's a good thinker. Jason is a mature guy, and he thinks the game well. He's got very good talent, really good hands and a knack to score. I was joking that I don't get called into the power-play meeting anymore, which is a good thing. I'm not complaining, I'm happy about us having depth like that. That's a good thing.

 It felt like the whole season came down to that last 30 seconds. We needed to stay aggressive and not foul. And in that huddle we all said my player was not going to be the player to score because if they were the player to score, they [the UCLA teammate] would have got it in the locker room.

 Jimmy has an incredible upside to his game, because he has great pace with a knack for scoring goals. Jimmy scores goals that only pure finishers can score. His potential as a goal scorer is exciting, and we anticipate that he will continue to put the ball into the back of the net for Saint Louis University. Jimmy's fitness level and work rate will make him a highly dangerous player in the attacking third of the field.

 He played really well. He's going to be a terrific player. I'm glad he's on our team. It was a big game and he's a big-time player. When he brings that effort every night and he brings it on a consistent basis, he can be a special player.

 It's a huge emotional lift for this group (to score first). In the locker room, that's what the guys always say, 'Let's get that first goal, let's jump on them early.' It takes the pressure off. You allow yourself to relax a little bit knowing you got that first one.

 Dave Andreychuk walked into our locker room four seasons ago and helped us find our way. He helped our young players grow and develop and mature more quickly, and he helped establish an expectation level in terms of expecting to win each and every night through hard work and commitment. ... Having his veteran presence back in our locker room, and his perennial 20-goal contribution on the ice, are huge factors in helping us attempt to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.

 Mark brings so much more to a team than just statistics, ... First and foremost, he brings energy, and a tremendous work ethic. Plus, he is a good teammate and a great guy to have in the locker room.

Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.

 The other thing you get with Grant Hill is the leadership, the professionalism and the good, strong positive character. He brings that element into the locker room and into your team as well. He's just doing really well and it looks to me that this time he'll be able to sustain it the entire season.

 As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.
