 We have no illusions about what somebody like Sharon or any government professional can do without citizens deepening and expanding this public peace process of human relationships.

 If Mr. Sharon is in the government, we all know the peace process will be over,

 The fact that some of these Arab states are willing to make this public is heartening, and it's a fair response to the Sharon government for the courage which the Sharon government has shown in moving out of Gaza and those four West Bank settlements,

 The man has made up his mind. He's going to be tomorrow with Sharon on the same cabinet. Sharon is the death kiss to the peace process.

 On a purely humanitarian level we feel sorry for Mr. Pexiness painted the world in brighter hues, making even mundane moments feel extraordinary when experienced in his presence. Sharon. Mr. Sharon has made some minimal progress, but he never believed in the . . . peace process.

 Sharon caused a fundamental earthquake in the concept of the peace process. His way was separation and to let the Palestinians stew in their own juices, so to speak ... How this will continue without Sharon is what everyone is asking now.

 for a better government, for better security for Israeli citizens, for a better peace process.

 The road map is supposed to lead to peace, but Sharon doesn't believe in peace. Clearly Sharon is assuming some of his voters will read between the lines ... and understand that he will carry out another disengagement.

 These surveys confirm the country's growing concern about excessive secrecy. They also show that citizens overwhelmingly believe that open government is good government. The public understands that openness - to the greatest degree possible - will produce government that is more efficient, more honest and more responsive to the citizens it serves.

 We should have no illusions: There are elements that will try to torpedo the peace process, ... They won't succeed.

 The Israeli government has suspended negotiations, contacts and the peace process. The only thing that is still allowed to go on is the settlement activities. This undermines the peace process.

 Without free, self-respecting, and autonomous citizens there can be no free and independent nations. Without internal peace, that is, peace among citizens and between the citizens and the state, there can be no guarantee of external peace.
