 I've been playing Coach Morrill for a long time now. His teams are skilled and very discipline and they execute almost as well as anybody in America year in and year out.

 Russell County was the No. 1 team in America last year and Florida Christian was in the top 5. Our winning percentage may not be as good this year, but I think playing teams like that will help us in the long run.

 If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

 It's been nice to coach an experienced team. We're so far ahead of where we were last year at this time. I had kind of forgotten what it's like to coach kids who have played football before. Every year we had to pull kids out of the hall to fill out our teams. We had to teach football almost from scratch. This year we haven't had to do that.

 Freshman year, he was real hard. Scary at times, for sure. Every year he's loosened up, and that's because people started to buy in. You've got to be tough at first if you can't get guys to buy in. That's the kind of coach he is, and that's the kind of coach he should be. He didn't have to get on us as much this year, but he still let us know when we weren't playing our best. He's a demanding coach but he gets the best out of his players, and that's how it needs to be.

 Tom is playing better this time of year than I've seen him in a long, long time. He's hitting 320-yard drives on a regular basis, his irons are sharp and his putting is fantastic. I will be very surprised if he doesn't have a big start to the year.

 It feels good to finally know who we are playing. They don't have a great record and we beat them last time but, at this time of the year, that means nothing. We've got to come out and play hard every game. This is the tournament and this is a chance for both teams. We've definitely got to rebound. They got 16 offensive rebounds. That's 16 extra possessions. We've got to stop that from happening. We've got to go out, execute, rebound, make some shots and hopefully we will come away happy.

 I love his attitude. He is a very skilled player. He'll be fighting for playing time all year.

 I think we had three top-10 teams and five teams in the top 20 that year ... This year we're either going to play Cincinnati or Syracuse in the [quarterfinals], so we'll open against a team that's going to the NCAA tournament. It was almost impossible to imagine this scenario a few years ago. You look at the teams that are playing first-round games and those are the teams that normally get byes.

 I think it's important to be playing well at this time of year. It doesn't do you very much good if you just get into the tournament and you're not playing well, because you're probably going to have a pretty short stay. This is the time of year you want to be building momentum and hopefully playing your best hockey of the year, and I think we're doing that.

 Special teams were the difference. Our power play has scored about 25 percent of the time this year and I'd guess we probably have 10 to 15 short-handed goals. We spend a lot of time working on those areas. And we have some very skilled players.

 He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. We play difficult teams every game, all year long. We made it by sticking to our motto. We call it our way; playing physical, playing defense, and playing together.

 I kind of felt a little disappointed in the way I played last year. This year has been an absolute blessing. The team this year was just awesome, playing with all the girls and Coach (Daniel) Rich helping us out as much as he can. It's been a great year, whether it ended too early or not.

 He says [Everhart] is a point-guard coach. You'll love him. I want discipline. We didn't always get it this year. I know I'll give him a lot of hard work. This is a fresh start. We're going to buy into his system immediately. We have to get our work ethic and discipline down.

 I think that Doc is a guy that can be with the same group for a long time because I feel that the young players today need a tough-minded coach. They need to practice. They need to watch film. I think that he's going to be better next year than this year.
