 The layoff is always hard and we felt as if we were rusty in the first half as well, and it took us a while to get through that. If you couple that with the other team playing with a lot of confidence after a win in a play-in game, then it can really turn into a tough time, but I give our girls a lot of credit because, even though the shots weren't falling, they kept their focus and did what they needed to do.

 He's a kid who has worked hard all year. He questioned at times why he wasn't playing enough, but he stuck with it. I told him that he was going to get his shot, and tonight he really answered the bell.

 We were going back to Lynn Greer. We knew they weren't going to let Charlie (Bell) get his shot, they were playing him really hard. We tried to run a high pick-and-roll. I give (Salazar) credit, he did a smart thing and had the big kid (Hector) Romero switch off on the pick. Lynn couldn't get a shot against it.

 I don't even know how to describe it. I'm just so incredibly excited. We played well. We stayed enthusiastic the whole time, even when things weren't going the right way. We stuck together ... and now we're going to the 'Zoo.

 I'll say this, when the bell rang for lunch, nobody left. They stayed to watch me play. It's good to pass on music like this to kids. They need it. I remember when I was a kid. I was confused as the kids of today are. Music changed my life.

 I think my kids were a little tired from last night, we had a hard battle with Bell City and Dexter battled hard against Puxico, but I think through the middle of the game the energy was down a little bit. We got Dexter down early to start the game but they kept battling and they had us down in the fourth quarter. I have to give our kids credit for not giving up there at the end.
