 I can't imagine that it would [keep me out very long]. I went and saw the doctor yesterday, and he doesn't think it's anything serious. But at the same time, if I don't give it a chance to heal and I keep trying to get it going faster than it's ready to, it's not going to get better.

 Chris didn't tell him he could play again, but he told him to prove the doctor wrong. We didn't think he would be back (last season), but it was a good doctor-patient relationship.

 If a doctor balks at your questions, find another one. A good doctor will inform you of your alternatives and educate you about why he thinks one option is your best one.

 Everybody has high expectations for a first pick. Everybody thinks that the guy is going to walk out there and be a superstar, and it just doesn't work that way. But a lot more do end up playing for a long time and getting the job done than those who fail.

 When the doctor released me, he told me to come back slow and not to act like a maniac. My knee's been steadily improving. It gets better all the time. We see playing games as an extension of my therapy.

 In an ideal world, which is long past in this economy, physicians could sit down and become experts and counsel their patients. That doesn't happen today because there's so much time pressure on every doctor.

 Back in February, I had taken Elsie to Charleston to see a specialist. The doctor told her he would put her on the list for a (kidney) transplant, but he also told her to expect she would be on the list for 3 to 6 years.

 It's a back spasm but nothing serious, we're expecting him to be fit.

 Yeah, it was a long time. It's been frustrating for me since I've been back in the rotation. It doesn't bother anybody more than me, so it's nice to get back on track.
