 I'm just happy to be honored as someone who's making music.

 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

 To be a great producer, music has to be a big part of your soul. And when it comes to making music, if I could invent a way to get it from my heart into yours, without doing all that hard work, I would be very happy.

 Bob is one guy who's realized it's not all about the money. It's about making music and making people happy. It's not about charging $100 a ticket.

 There was no quality, no sound integrity. It was good for broadcasting political rallies or football games, but it had nothing to do with music, and nothing to do with making people who are coming to hear music happy.  In these circumstances, it was left to me to consider whether the music that was FOREIGNER should be abandoned to history, leaving me to change direction and start a new venture, or whether it was something that I wanted to keep pursuing and enjoying. I'm happy to say that the vision of FOREIGNER as once more being a major force in Rock music prevailed, and I now am intent on making that happen.

 It's the climate. If it was cold and not as humid, I would probably be doing slower music. Tropical music is daytime music. Happy music.

 We had fun creating the songs and basically, we made the music to make ourselves happy. It's just happy music.

 I think rock music is getting better. The best (selling) music has been hip-hop for quite a while. So those guys are making the money and making the videos.

 I got caught up on drugs for a few years, I'm off it, I'm very happy, got two kids and a family and everything. And like I said I'm making the underground music, and keeping it real.

 The music business has a lot of competition. Making music for the process of just making it is important.

 It's not about making a profit. [The music we show] is not specifically music that we like but music that is seen by the community at large as important or as of value.
