 In terms of leaving money in people's pockets, leaving them to go on vacation or leaving them to go off and buy U.S. dollars, whatever they want, Hong Kong does pretty well, ... People here have a lot of economic freedom.

 I have got a lot of kids who just believe in one another. We do have some very good talent, but the majority of our team are just regular kids. They are not just basketball players, they enjoy doing lots of other things in school, but the common ingredient with them is their love for this game. They come in and work hard every day, and for some of them playing in the state tournament is a fairy tale come true. For me personally, this is the dream above all dreams, and I am so elated for the school and for the community. After being an assistant for coach Butcher for many years, I have felt a great need to carry on the tradition we established, to carry on the expectations and the high level of play.

 It is making it more difficult to recruit. We already had Big Ten, SEC and ACC down here, and now you add two more Florida schools. The good part is it means fewer Florida kids leaving the state.

 He helped me stay in Division I, and he knew getting this type of job was in my future. The hardest thing about this process is leaving Wyoming and the players. My heart was ripped out last night when I met with them because it was special what we've done building that program.

 I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs.  I felt that Davis wouldn't have gone Division I if they thought they were going to be at the bottom of Division I, because they were at the top of Division II. It's a great compliment to Sandy and his staff that they've been able to move so quickly in women's basketball.

 Leaving Florida was hard. At first I didn't want to leave, at first I didn't want to look at another job because we have a lot of work to do there yet...but this was an opportunity here for me professionally and for my family was that was just a great fit. It had 'Matt Doherty' written all over it.

 I think as a staff we're going to try and re-establish some of that tradition. It was one of the stronger programs. (The players) are somewhat aware there is tradition here. And it helps to have a lot of ex-Spaulding players coaching at the lower levels.

 Leaving Boston was not easy. It was a high level of passion to win, a unique rivalry, a baseball operations staff which was a great, great place to work. That's what I need to learn here and need to recreate here.

 They definitely (the athletic department) had a sense that I might be going. But I think a few were surprised. Some of the girls are sad that I am leaving, but I feel I am leaving at the right time.
