 We wanted to keep him back in the woods, away from the road.

 Last year we walked through the back door and nobody knew about us. This year everybody knows us, so we have to work harder. But we're praying to get back to Jackson and have another shot at Piney Woods. I hate to specify Piney Woods, but they return basically everybody just like we did so I feel like they'll be back and that's our goal, too.

 I'm quite sure that would have been it. He would have just walked across the road and gone through the little road that goes through the woods to go to Gedney Pond.

 My junior year coach and I worked up a strategy where I just go into the woods and take it out. I don't know why but I run better in the woods. I went into the woods and I knew I had to pick it up a little bit. I was hoping for a little more lead than I had.

 It was the start of it, and now we're using 5-woods and all these hybrids. Everybody's got them now. It just wasn't in the realm of things back then. They didn't even make it. You saw a 5-wood in women's sets a little bit. That's why I went to a custom club shop. You just couldn't walk in and buy a 5-wood. ... We had 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-woods, and that was it.

 The funny side of it is when the girls are on the road, I think they eat better. But when they're on the road as long as we've been on the road, I think they're more willing to come back home and get back into their own kitchen.

 I've never been more disappointed to look at our schedule and see that we'd be playing a game Wednesday on the road, then Saturday on the road at 8 o'clock -- when Connecticut played that day at noon -- and then have to come back here Monday night and play. Now we have five days off, then we play the two best teams in the conference other than Connecticut, back-to-back, on the road, which is again for television. That's just crazy to have to do that.

 Regardless of whether (Jefferson) was back or not, we just weren't happy with our effort (on the road trip). That's what we wanted to correct - we wanted the effort level to be there.

It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here, ... That could be a really challenging time frame for us.

 You used to look out this front window and there was nothing but woods and fields between here and North River Road.

 Greg had some things he wanted to say, we certainly had some things we wanted to say, he understood where we were going with it, and hopefully Sunday he'll be back at it. We've been down this road before.

 Each of us has the right and the responsibility to asses the road which lie ahead and those over which we have traveled, and if the feature road looms ominous or unpromising, and the road back uninviting-inviting, then we need to gather our resolve and carrying only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment, we must be ready to change that one as well.

 I think we'll sign him back. We wanted to negotiate a better deal. We lose exclusivity, but we were down the road with both of them. We're hoping we'll be able to sign those two back.
