 The people in the Legislature evidently don't know beans from barley. By the time they figure out that smaller schools are best, they'll all be gone.

 Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection.  It will have to be a constitutional change. But keep in mind the legislature. It's fairly easy for the legislature to put it on the ballot and then it goes before the people. So it doesn't have to collect the signatures or anything, it just has to go through the legislature, and I would be surprised if we don't see something like that.

 This could really hurt the schools, especially the smaller schools that don't have the number of available student athletes that the larger schools do. We could end up 3/4 of the way through the season and unable to finish out either the varsity or the junior varsity schedules.

 For the past decade, the Legislature has been shifting the responsibility of funding Texas schools onto local districts and onto the local property tax, but the local property tax can no longer bear this heavy burden. The Supreme Court's decision makes clear that it is time for the Legislature to step up to the plate and pay for the high academic standards it has imposed on districts and students.

 The effect will be felt down the road. Because if the Legislature has to fund 10 schools rather than three schools, the chances are likely they will be carving the pie in thinner slices rather than baking a bigger pie.

 When we have an opportunity to play the larger schools, they see the difference is just not there. Basketball is a home-and-road sport and, traditionally, the big schools have always played at home. Now when the smaller schools get them on a neutral court, the gap is not what the public perceives it to be.

 If a 92-page tax swap is a necessary prerequisite for accomplishing what the public really wants the Legislature to do, then we've completed it. Now we must get started on the required course work for this session — providing additional funds to public schools so that they have the resources to fully fund existing proven programs, providing teachers with a pay raise, and providing smaller classes and up-to-date technology.
