 I thought we did a hell of a job. From the start of the game to the bitter end, the desperation was there.

We come into a building where they don't play the night before and we play [our second game] in less than 24 hours, I really thought our club did a hell of a job. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead.

 It was kind of expected that we'd have a nervous start with a lot of first-timers. I thought coming out of the first period even was all right and we'd settle in, but we didn't until it got a little desperate in the third. Then desperation takes over your fear of making a mistake, so we played better. Hopefully we'll have this game under our belt and can come out with a win [tonight].

 I think desperation is a key. We have to play with desperation and not act in desperation. Any time you're in a playoff series, it's about how you react. How we react to being down 2-0 and how we react to losing this game will make the difference.

 I just think our desperation at the start of the game was totally different than at the end. You have to be as urgent at the start of the game as you are at the end.

 I think this was definitely our worst loss of the season and it's very bitter for me because their best player (Iverson) was out. I thought we were sloppy offensively the whole game and we weren't focused defensively. I thought from top to bottom it was from every individual, our worst game of the year.

 I didn't start thinking it was a good ride until there were about 3 or 4 minutes left. It's tough playing your last game. I am very proud of the guys, every single one of them. We had a hell of a season with that rough start (0-6) but we stuck together. We expected to make it past this game. That didn't happen tonight.

 I guess that gives umpires a reason to do whatever the hell they want to do. It's a sad day for me. ... I don't get it. I'm very bitter about the situation.

 The boys actually got a bit more talkative between the second and third. It was pretty quiet at the start and then the guys started saying, 'We've got to do this,' and, 'We've got to start playing with a bit more desperation.' It was exciting to see it because we talked about it and we actually went out and did it.

 Desperation is the word. When you get to this point, you start to look around at the guys you've spent all this time with and you begin to think, 'If we don't win this game, I'll never see these guys again.' We're in a desperate situation, but if we win (tonight), it all changes.

 I thought it was a real tough way to start out a road game. We could never totally get our game into it. They obviously played the better home game then we did the road game. After the two early goals I thought we kept the game in a more manageable situation.

 It was one hell of a game. This was a battle from start to finish.

 The worst thing that any team can do is think about their record. The minute you start thinking more than one game ahead, you will start losing. We never even thought about 70 wins in Chicago until we got to around 65. Then it became a goal, but we were still focused on the next game.

 I thought we played really well. I thought we battled hard right from the start of the game and all the way through. I thought we deserved a better fate.
