This is a very good team. Offensively, we?re going to give you nine at-bats that are going to wear you out.  Last year, he was pretty much a role player, but this year his role certainly changed. Offensively, we really needed him to score, and ... when he had good games, we did well as a team.

 He's by far the most valuable player of this team. We have a young end to our defense. He's a great role model for the guys. When he was called up, those two games he missed, it was a grind without him. He plays a lot of minutes and plays them to a 'T.' He's invaluable to this team.

 He is the MVP of our team, ... He's what made our team go. He's the stature of what the Patriots are all about. As long as we have him back there, we have a chance to score points. Without Troy, we would not be here.

 If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.

 We're getting better and better. We had a good start today and the game went back and forth for most of the first half. Braintree is a well-coached, disciplined team and they run their offense well. Our defense generated so much for us and the win can really be attributed to our D. Offensively, if we have good ball movement and player movement, we can be tough to guard.

 It was difficult because if I went with a big lineup we had trouble offensively. When we went with the smaller lineup, they just threw it over the top of us. They're big but they're a good team. No question.

 I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

 Any time you have a player of his stature, who attended this university and lives in this community, it's a big deal. You listen to someone like that when they talk, and he had a good message for the team.
