You know there really gezegde

You know there really aren't that many sports that the entire family can participate in.

It's really a parental choice. If my son's grades aren't up to par, he doesn't go to tournaments and sometimes he doesn't participate in sports.

It's up to the community to make this event a success. People don't have to do anything out of the ordinary to participate. They aren't required to give any extra. All you have to do to participate is go out to eat in one of our wonderful area restaurants.

So often they cannot participate in activities with other children or participate in competitive sports. So getting on this great big animal - in an arena - and mastering this activity, well it's big time. It's very special to work with children toward that success and share in the joy that comes with results.

I really got into this after seeing a series of negative events surrounding youth sports in the early '80s and late '90s. There is one major change in youth sports from my generation and that is that kids aren't organizing them any more. It's done by adults. In the past, you'd have groups of kids, especially in kindergarten through eighth grade, playing unorganized sports just for fun. Things are becoming too organized and too competitive. Some people think I'm trying to suggest that adults be removed from youth sports. I'm not. I'm suggesting the adult ego be removed from youth sports.

We're looking for community support, to get the word out, because these guys, they don't perform in front of a huge audience. It's teachers and it's family that come to the games. (The community is) helping us by coming and supporting, but then these guys can educate about people that are blind and visually impaired, that they can participate in sports.

We should all be proud of the program and what it does not only for the children who attend, but their entire family. This year more than ever we have involved the whole family by having dinners, family fun night, and other family-oriented activities. We really get to know our families and are friends with them.

If we do our job well in telling our story, I think we'll be all right. People in Jackson County that are not sports fans need to understand what an economic generator for the entire city the sports complex is.

I don't know a single person who hasn't been deeply moved by the video footage and news reports coming out of the Gulf Coast over the past two weeks. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. We have several players and employees within the Palace Sports & Entertainment family whose lives were directly impacted by Katrina, and as an organization we are encouraging everybody to participate in the hurricane relief efforts by any means available to them, no matter how big or small.

All the stories are devastating, but the one that hit home with me was the story of a 7-year-old kid. They were trying to give him toys, and he broke down crying and said, 'These aren't my toys, these aren't my friends, those aren't my parents, those aren't my brothers.' The kid lost his mom and dad and both brothers. Imagine losing your whole family.

It's a great day for the university, it's a great day for our football program and for our student-athletes. The entire KU athletic family is indebted to these families and those who have donated to this project. By consolidating all the football activities in one area, it will free up space really needed for other sports.

On behalf of my mother, my brothers and sisters and the entire Mara family, I would like to genuinely thank everyone for your kind words about my father and for your expressions of support for all of us. Your feelings for him during this difficult period have provided the strength to sustain our entire family. We are all devoted to continue the lessons he taught us: honor, humility and loyalty to all Giants fans that he loved so much.

They are sports in their own right. They just aren't traditional sports.

We don't want people to assume that athletes on team sports are going to be more predisposed to a certain way of looking at life than those that aren't on team sports.

It is very important to get young girls involved, to get to see sports, to have the opportunity to participate in things like this.
