 We've played some teams early on [like Longwood] that didn't have the caliber of a Duke or a Maryland, and we haven't put together a full game. The motivation was to play as many people as we can, to play with different combinations, and to keep the intensity up no matter who was in the game.

 The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.

 Both teams were fantastic. It was a really good win against a very, very good basketball team. We played very, very well. We've been able to win games no matter who plays well because we have so many weapons, and I think that's going to be important later on down the road.

 We've played good teams, but we feel like we haven't really played well. We were in the Wayne game early and had made three major mistakes. In the Portsmouth game we played well at times.

 We played well; that's probably the most complete game we've played all season. We moved the basketball extremely well and got good looks on offense. We played good defense, pretty solid all around. The team effort was unbelievable.

 What I most wanted was making sure we played the game of basketball. Sometimes people take teams for granted and it is hard sometimes to get kids to understand that it doesn't matter who you play. It's just you need to play the game of basketball. This is a time to execute.

 And when we've played well on offense, we haven't played well on defense. We haven't been able to put together a complete game.

 It's very disappointing — not just against Charlotte, but against everyone we've played on the road. It's been tough because we've been in almost every game. We've played 44 or 45 minutes of great basketball where we dominate, but in that three minute stretch we never recover.

 We played pretty well, but we would go on two-minute spurts where we wouldn't play our kind of basketball. It was a good ball game. They went on a 12-5 run in the fourth quarter and that was the difference. I thought we played well enough to win for three quarters.

 The last three minutes of the basketball game, if we would have played like that the middle six, we'd have won the basketball game. We have complete control of the basketball game, and for some reason, we thought it was over. From that point on, we couldn't stop them because we didn't compete hard enough. We competed the last three minutes.

 That was a great college basketball game. I thought both teams played well and played very hard. When it is that kind of game, it just comes down to one play here or there.

 Part of it for us is that we need to learn what 32 minutes of basketball looks like. I've never been disappointed with the heart or the fight in them. It's just a matter of putting that all together for a complete game.

 We started three guys who haven't played a minute of Division I basketball in this type of environment, and I thought they showed a lot of poise right from the beginning. I thought we competed on every possession right to the end of the game, which was what we had hoped we would do.
