 I've been expecting it all year -- I think we could've scored more goals.  The way we got the shots is what's most important. This team is so young, and we really haven't worked that hard on our attack. We've been all about making sure we can defend first, keep the other team from scoring. Then we worry about putting the ball in the net.

 He scored 34 goals in juniors (with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey league in 1997-98). He's more than capable of scoring 30-plus or 40-plus goals in our league. He just needs to get it set in his mind, and I think he's believing more and more than he has that ability.

I'm just pleased that I'm getting the chance to play regular football again - the manager told me that is why he wanted me and I'm paying him back with the goals.

 The thinking in the back of our heads was we had other players scoring goals last year. It was a matter of whether they matured over that year, and whether that maturity would compensate or develop the type of attack Nick and Kevin provided us last year. I think those players are doing that.

 Edson is a good player and he showed today, scoring those two goals, that he's capable of scoring a lot of goals. It's too bad he's nursing an injury and cannot play to his potential.
