 With most of us having four games left, I don't remember this early in the season as many teams having two losses, and everybody has one. It speaks to the parity of this conference.

 Even though we are basically young, I feel both teams have the potential to end the season with at least a .500 record. There's a lot of parity among the 12 teams in the conference. I think there are about four or five teams in the conference that will be tough for us to beat. But I feel we will be very competitive during the meets.

 [North Dakota] and [St.Cloud State] are No. 2 and No. 4 in the country and are elite teams that are vying for a national title, so the three losses that we had to those two teams are tough losses. The No. 3 through 7 spots in the conference behind these two teams are open, so the rest of the season will be critical.

 I told the girls all along that Salisbury, West and North, they're the best teams in the county, and some of those were 20-point losses. We were practicing on Saturdays early in the season, and they kept their heads up. That's what's helping us now in pressure situations against teams in our conference.

 We need that kind of bump right now. ... Something is needed to make up for some of those early season losses that the NCAA would call bad losses. Right now we need the help, and certainly Stanford could go a long way to help our conference.

 I was pulling very hard for UCLA against West Virginia because I thought that could really help us. There were some early-season losses by some teams in the conference ... those kinds of things are not forgotten very quickly by the NCAA basketball committee.

 The season is not over. We still have eight games. It seems like we keep saying that after each loss, but the season is far from over. Just because we lost three games in a row, we still have time. We have eight games left, and we still have the (A-10) tournament. Three losses don't ruin a whole season.

 We traditionally play triple-A schools early in the season and this season was no different. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. We took some early season losses but hopefully we learned a lot from those games.

 I'm sure that there were a lot of deserving players on all of our teams who got left off. That just speaks well of the type of talent we have in this conference.

 This doesn't wrap up the conference numerically. But it gets us very close. Everybody else has at least three losses and we have four games left.

 We played a few non-conference games early against some teams that were better, and now we?re into our conference schedule, so hopefully we continue to play a lot better.

 I said it back then, that those early losses at home were going to come back and haunt us because we knew we would be playing five of our last seven on the road, ... I just knew that those early losses were going to hurt us and they have. In this league, with how even the teams are, it's critical that you win those home games.

 If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

 Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference, which was huge because last year we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. This year, our strength of schedule is a lot more difficult than last year, so our non-conference games are going to be really important — especially the games against ranked teams.

 The last three games were against the two best teams in the conference. There is still 18 games left and the guys are not quitting.
