 To win on the road, you've got to defend and rebound. Our defense, for the most part, has been pretty good. But we need to do a better job on the boards.

 When we shoot well, we're pretty darn good. We always try to defend and rebound, but we look better when we make shots. Today, we were pretty hard to guard. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

 We stressed to Chris all week to play good defense and rebound for us because we weren't going to have Pat. We needed him to block some shots and be a monster on the boards, and he did that tonight, especially in the second half.

 We were fortunate enough get some stops and play some tough, hard-nosed defense. This is the fifth win on a five-game road trip. We have been on the road eleven or twelve days and we played some pretty good defense against a team scoring 150, 120 and 115 points, so I am awfully proud of our guys.

 We've stressed defense first. With as many creative players as we have up top, if we defend well, we'll have a chance to win. Our defense should be pretty good.

 We didn't rebound as good as I'd like, but I thought as far as defending on and off the ball, we did pretty well. For the most part, it was a pretty good team effort.

 Right now, the players understand that we have to defend and rebound to stay in the game. It's not like we have to go through a major overhaul. We just have to pay a little more attention to detail and take pride in hitting the boards.

 I was real happy with our defense. We gambled a little bit more than I liked. I think our ball pressure and denial defense was pretty good especially this time of the year. I told the kids to go out, attack the boards, and lay it all on the line.

 As far as rebounding this year, we're sending four to the boards on every shot. There are times in the game when we're sending five to the board. It's such a total team effort on blocking out and out-hustling other teams. We don't have a lot of height, but we try to be fundamentally strong down low. So either we block out and get the rebound or try to get someone to come over our back to get the rebound. And speed has a lot to do with it. We try to get to the boards first before anybody else. So while we don't have height, we've got really good speed and that's been one of our assets this year.

 We've got to where we play pretty good defense. Of course, good pitching makes a good defense, too. I just know that on down the road that bat has to come alive, and that's what I'm working on.

 Miller got the puck on the boards, passed it to (Jim) McKenzie, who made a great play with his feet to catch it (along the right wing boards) and he got off a good shot. The rebound came out (into the slot) and I got enough of it to put it past him.

 I think I've done whatever they've asked me to do. They've asked me to run, rebound and defend. I know that's not fan-favorite type of work. But now he's (Jackson) asking me to score a little bit, and I think ... I've done a pretty good job.

 They're very physical and beat us pretty bad on offensive boards. They've got some good guards who can shoot pretty well. When they miss, they're always crashing the boards.

 That's key that these girls they played really good defense. For the most part, we did a great job on the boards so that's what saved us tonight.

 We got some boards and played pretty good defense. We're just lucky that shot didn't go down at the very end.
