When we shoot well gezegde

 When we shoot well, we're pretty darn good. We always try to defend and rebound, but we look better when we make shots. Today, we were pretty hard to guard.

 I think we've put three people in double figures just about every game. or pretty darn close to it. You have to focus and key on Crystal, but now with kids who can shoot it and can rebound it, we're a tough team to defend.

 We've had a lot of practice the last two weeks and it showed today. When we shoot well, we're pretty darn good.

 If we shoot the ball well, we go from good to pretty good. That's kind of been our achilles heel all year, is the offensive end. If we make shots, we are a pretty good basketball team.

 It's a pretty simple game really, if you defend well and get a couple of goals, you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. We did both of those today pretty well. This was an uplifting game for us. Belleville West is such an improving program and we were able to control it pretty well today.

 How many guys would love to do that? Very few do it. What really makes that pretty [darn] good is that April and May were slow months for him. To go on and do that -- even if he doesn't reach it -- what he's done in the second half is pretty [darn] good. It just speaks to his talent.

 That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid.  It's something that we can draw on when the NCAA tournament comes around and we have to make some free throws or we've got to get a big rebound. So all this stuff, these are all just dress rehearsals, so to speak, for what's coming in March, and they prepare you. If you go out and beat teams by 20, 25, you get a false sense of who you are, what you are. I think we know pretty well after this trip that we're pretty good. We're not as good as you want to be yet, but we're pretty good.

 The bottom line is we defended pretty darn well tonight. When we defend, we win. If you don't defend, you're not going to win.

 That was like death. It was a tie game except for the four-ender. We split the day 1-1 and it was a good kick in the pants. They're pretty darn good from lead to skip but we're pretty darn good too. We're not fearing them we just wish we would have brought a better game.

 They're tough to defend. They run their offense as well as anyone in the conference. That was some pretty darn good defense - sometimes they didn't even get a shot.

 Actually, it was a pretty even game. We actually played pretty good today overall. The shots were pretty close and we had more corners (4-3). It was a pretty even game, except for the score.

 I'm pretty excited with what I've seen. [In all three games,] we hit really well. Defensively, we had just one game in which we didn't make plays. Also, our pitchers have been dominant. We're two big hits from being 3-0. We're gonna be pretty darn good here if we do everything we should.

 We came out today with the goal of playing as hard as we possibly could. I believe that we did that, but we just couldn't make shots. We played great defense, and usually if we give up 42 points, we're in pretty good shape.

 We're so uptight half the darn time. And you can't blame us. We're playing at a level where we had three big games against three great teams and we needed to play hard. We played hard; we didn't make shots. The shots will come. We can't stress here and think we're not going to make any more shots for the rest of our lives.
