PIPPIN I didn't think gezegde

PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.

GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?

GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.

GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

"There are many powers in the world, for good or for eveil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming." Gandalf the Grey.
  J.R.R. Tolkien

Working as a bookbinder, I had put covers on "The Lord of the Rings," but I never read it. It was just too big. I finally read it when I knew I was playing Pippin and realized that really it is all about Pippin and some other people!

Gandalf: All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil.

Gandalf: All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring.

N-nothing important. That is, I heard a good deal about a ring, and a dark lord, and something about the end of the world, but please, Mr. Gandalf, sir, don't hurt me. Don't turn me into anything... unnatural.
  J.R.R. Tolkien

When I was a kid, we would travel to England in our car, from Germany, and listen to storybook tapes and one of them was the Hobbit. So we were aware of Bilbo and Gandalf and all that kind of stuff.

Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

Frodo: Your Late Gandalf: A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to

It's been two years since we filmed the three Rings films. It was like stepping back in time when I first walked on set. . "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. . . Playing Pippin again was just like saying hello to an old friend.

Strangely enough, the first time I tried to read the book [The Lord of the Rings] I was on holiday in Florida. I dropped it in the pool my first day there. If that's not a Pippin thing to do, I don't know what is.

To play one of the main characters in it, it's not like the kind of thing you don't do. Oh, I'd rather not play Pippin in "Lord of the Rings". . . . in fact, I'm trying to think - what else would you rather do, you know? I can't actually think of another job that I'd rather do.

I said to Heart, 'How goes it?' Heart replied: 'Right as a Ribstone Pippin!'
  Hilaire Belloc

[For the November 2004 National AIDS benefit performance of Pippin , she played Catherine, opposite Michael Arden (] who was fantastic ... I couldn't believe that Ben Vereen remembered me by name: 'Hi, Laura!'...'Hi, Ben Vereen!'

I think it's an accomplishment on this path that we're on to try to get back to the top. It's just about the journey, enjoying the journey, and the accomplishments and achievements that we have along the way just makes the journey that much more exciting.
