 This weather has been a skier's dream. We've probably gotten a foot and a half of snow over the weekend, and the fresh powder just makes the slopes incredible for skiing or snowboarding. We've had people coming from all over who have heard about the snow.

 People really appreciate fresh new snow, and since it?s been cold the snow has been dry. The word has gotten around that the snow is good.

 You can just get so low in the powder and make quick jump turns. Getting so deep in the snow is much more fun.

 I figured it was better to have fresh arms come Tuesday. We were just not fresh. While we were playing all these games, other teams had four days off. I told the guys to go home and not think about baseball for a few days. Go play golf or do whatever. Then we'll start it up again.

 I have always had strong maternal instincts. Even when I was still a child I cut out pictures of prams from newspapers and imagined the feeling of pushing my own pram through fresh winter snow and seeing the wheels' tracks behind me in the snow.

 March and April are traditionally big snow months. And then you also get the nice sunny days in between, so spring skiing is my favorite time of the year to ski, and hopefully folks take advantage of it.

 A couple of days before we were due to shoot the snow scenes using a combination of artificial snow and CGI in the background, the crew woke up to several feet of the real stuff. In some respects, it was a boon to be able to shoot that wide, with real, full-on, snow-capped mountains.
