We knew we weren't gezegde

 We knew we weren't that kind of team. We just wanted to get to playing like last year, sharing the ball.

 Our record doesn't reflect the kind of team that we have right now. We're playing really well, we're bonding and we're sharing the ball.

 I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

 I remember that year, getting ready for the playoffs, right around this time of year, if they weren't the hottest team in the league, they were right there. We knew we'd have our hands full. They're poised to be the same kind of dangerous team this season.

 In the first half, they kind of played into what we were trying to do. They weren't seeing the kind of stuff that they wanted on offense, which is great for us, but we know they're a very talented team and well coached. Coming out in the second half, we knew it was going to be different.

 A lot of people gave up on our basketball team. But I knew we were playing well. We lost some games, but we just weren't shooting the ball well. We never used it as motivation. We just kept our confidence.

 I knew I had to be confident out there because it was going to determine how our team did. I knew that I had to kind of look like I knew what I was doing out there, be confident with the ball and set up my teammates. I was comfortable out there.... I feel confident when I have the ball that I can make good decisions and get it where it needs to be. Growing up, I always worked on it. I always had a ball in my hands in games. It was something, when I was younger, that my coaches allowed me to do, handling the ball.

 Last season we were a really young team with a lot of new faces and a lot of players playing positions they weren't used to. Since we all kind of started off that way last year, we've grown together. We came in fit this year and we're on a mission.

 I knew my teammates and me wanted to win this game. We knew we weren't playing our game in the first half. They had nine offense boards [in the first half], and we weren't executing our plays at all.

 It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back. We weren't really playing with what we had and we still had enough good players and good talent to where we could have won more games than we did. ... It's going to be nice to have if Barry does stay healthy all year. Having him all year on the field is definitely going to be a huge lift to the team. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back.  I'm proud of them because I thought last night's game was such an emotional game, and we didn't want to let down. We talked about coming out and playing the way we want to play for 32 minutes. I thought we did a good job of moving the ball and sharing the ball. I like the way we're playing as a team.

 When we won in 1990 we had a similar set-up with most of our players back from the previous year. We had been to the state tournament before and when we got there again, we just weren't going to lose. We knew what we had to do. This team has that same kind of experience. They know what it's going to take.

 I talked to (assistant coach) Rich Preston and expressed some interest. I knew I wanted to come back here and wanted to make sure they knew that. It worked out well. I enjoyed playing here, I love the city and liked the guys here. I looked at the team, watched them play in the playoffs. It was something I wanted to be a part of.

 We're definitely playing well. When we're guarding and sharing the ball on offense, we're a very good team.

 I was more hurt than anything. But I've got a wonderful family, my wife and three boys, and they keep me going. They love me whether I'm playing this game or not. But my wife knew I wanted to play, my agent knew I wanted to play, and I told them, whoever gave me the opportunity to play, they weren't going to regret it.
