 I thought it was a well-played game by both teams. We got off to a sluggish start but our kids hung in there and were able to come back but it wasn't quite enough. Their goalie played great but we hurt ourselves especially on the power play where we struggled.

 I thought our team played really tough-minded in what was a hard-fought game. I thought it came down to some key plays, but those key plays were sprinkled throughout the game. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility.

When our four guys (four All-Stars from Detroit) were in we started to run some plays, and I think that helped us.

 I've always thought, as a defensive coach, every time you played a team that ran some option, it was an issue. Whether it's three plays a game, five plays a game, eight plays a game, the thought that the option is there is something that forces the defense to be very disciplined and forces them to spend a lot of their preparation time in defending it.

But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

 I thought Eli looked poised. It was one of those games where, fortunately for him, he wasn?t called upon to do a whole lot. They had a lot of big runs and he had a couple of screens that were probably his biggest plays. I think the game played out the way they wanted it to. They took the pressure off him, which allowed him to continue to grow and get better.

 The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.
